Fujairah Oil Terminal (FOT) FZC is a world-class onshore oil storage facility with 1.177 million cubic meters of capacity, located in the rapidly growing port of Fujairah in the UAE, outside the Strait of Hormuz on the Indian Ocean. It is an independent, third-party storage terminal owned by a group of shareholders, including the government of Fujairah. FOT stores crude oil, fuel oil, gas oil, and gasoline, attracting major and national oil companies to utilize its facilities on a long-term basis. The facility meets international standards and offers services such as blending and circulation, heating, and additive injection. The Port of Fujairah has world-class jetties that can accommodate vessels ranging from small barges to large VLCCs.
Fujairah’s strategic location outside the Strait of Hormuz provides a safer and quicker route for oil transportation, making it a key hub in the global oil supply chain. The port has expanded significantly in recent years to become a major transit point for storage, blending, and ship-to-ship transfers. Total storage capacity in Fujairah is approximately 11.1 million cubic meters. Fujairah is also the third-largest ship bunkering center in the world.
